Job Requirements – Ground Crew
We’re looking for individuals who are hardworking, dependable, and eager to grow within a team. You don’t need to know everything about tree work on Day One—but you do need a strong work ethic, a teachable mindset, and respect for safety and professionalism.

The ground crew is the foundation of every job site. You’ll be trusted to show up ready, keep the crew moving, and learn the trade the right way—an essential role that lets us deliver fast, safe, and precise tree services every day.
Must-Haves
- Valid driver’s license and reliable commute to/from the shop and job sites
- Physically fit (lifting 50+ lbs, working outdoors full-time in all weather)
- Dependable and consistently punctual with a positive attitude
- Coachable and open to training/feedback
- Team-first attitude with professionalism on every job site
- Ability to pass a background check
Bonus Points (Preferred but not required)
- CDL Certification (Class A preferred)
- Previous experience in tree care or related outdoor/labor work
- Experience with chippers, chainsaws, stump grinders
- Interest in growing into a climber or crew lead role over time
- Safety certifications (First Aid/CPR)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
🌱 What You’ll Do
As a member of our Ground Crew, you’ll play a vital role in executing tree care services safely, efficiently, and professionally—while growing your career every day.
Daily Operations
- Assist with job site setup and tool preparation each morning
- Support climbers, crew leads, and arborists in executing daily tasks
- Clean up debris and help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Attend pre-job briefings and represent the company with professionalism
🔐 Safety & Site Awareness
- Adhere to all local and company safety protocols
- Participate in daily hazard assessments and safety briefings
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Wear required PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hats, etc.) at all times
📲 Communication & Documentation
- Log work hours accurately
- Complete safety and job documentation (JSA forms, assessments)
- Direct client questions to supervisors professionally
- Attend required trainings or team meetings
